Menopause and Sleep

Sleep is essential to our health and happiness and highly likely to be affected by the menopause transition, with more than 60% of women reporting difficulties falling or staying asleep during this time.

Disrupted and poor sleep can lead to patients struggling to get through the day as well as fatigue, brain fog, low mood and anxiety. Sleep can often be disturbed by other menopause symptoms such as night sweats, anxiety, or waking up to urinate overnight. Sometimes sleep disruption is one of the first symptoms of the perimenopause but with other women it can be the only symptom they experience.

Myla are committed to helping women achieve good quality sleep along with improved health and wellbeing. All our Doctors are experienced at managing sleep symptoms during the menopause transition. Dr Zoe Schaedel specialises in sleep issues, and we work with our partners at The Good Sleep Clinic to ensure our patients have access to evidence-based medical and psychological expertise on insomnia, in order to restore good sleep.

“Consistently getting a good night’s sleep has made the biggest difference to my life. Everything feels easier now I’m not exhausted.”
